Andrew Dakers
Andrew Dakers has led West London Business as Chief Executive since September 2015. He grew up in Brentford, West London and still lives locally.
Andrew’s career spans IT at the BBC, business change management at GSK, campaigning for WWF UK, leading Public Affairs at Business in the Community and heading education business charity Spark! He has also been a module leader for the University of Bradford’s highly regarded international MBA programme and was selected as a London Leader by the London Sustainable Development Commission.
Andrew has worked in Fiji, India, Uganda, UAE and the USA and gained an MSc in Development Management from The Open University. Amongst other voluntary commitments he served for four years as a pension fund trustee. Today he volunteers as Chair of Brentford town centre’s regeneration charity, the Ealing Business Partnership, and the London Textile Forum. His memberships include UKSIF and the Institute of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability.
Andrew was active in the Liberal Democrats from 2000-10. He is no longer a member of any political party and supports the work of politicians across the spectrum.
