COP26 Business Roadshow: London Borough of Hounslow

In the run up to COP26 West London Business has joined the UK government and UN Race to Zero campaign to encourage as many local businesses as possible to reduce emissions to achieve net zero by 2030. Our COP26 Roadshow will virtually tour seven of our West London boroughs to scale up local business activity on climate change ahead of COP26. We hope, working with borough colleagues, to inspire businesses to take action using the support provided by West London Business and Race to Zero campaign partners. The scientific consensus is that we are on the cusp of irreversible climate change if we don’t act fast. The good news is that advances in off-the-shelf technological and behavioural change solutions mean that achieving net zero in our business operations is easier than ever. Furthermore, the business case goes from strength to strength, as growing numbers of public and private sector buyers, as well as consumers, demand green products and services.

At the COP26 Business Roadshow, West London Business is encouraging businesses in Hounslow to apply the principles of Science Based Targets and use our toolkit to achieve the goal of reaching carbon zero.

At this roadshow WLB will raise awareness of the 2030 net zero agenda, and to provide tools, local support and information to Hounslow businesses so they can achieve this target.
