This year's Summer Reception will be heading to SCRUM Theatre in Hammersmith, a wonderful new creative space for the arts and theatre in an incredible gem of British architecture adjacent to the Ark. 

As usual, we will be celebrating the launch of the West London Business Awards 2027 and showcasing our launch partners and the chosen charity partner for this year, as well as a special new WLB report in conjunction with Beauhurst.

Alongside this, guests will have the special opportunity to be guided around the building with specialist storytelling guides, who will highlight some of the incredible displays created by the local community and artists alike. 

There will be delicious Caribbean style grazing platters served by one of our West London Business Awards 2026 Winners, Lula's Patties.

SCRUM Theatre (registered charity number 1201124) is all about setting up spaces right so that amazing things can happen in them. At this time of crisis for the arts, SCRUM works to safeguard the next generation of the British theatre makers and audiences.

There's 40 million square feet of empty commercial space in London, and we work to transform these voids into community arts hubs. We turn them into homes for our schools programmes, artist development training, and excellent, accessible performances. 

Our newest project, SCRUM Studios, opened in Hammersmith in September 2024, transforming a long empty Ralph Erskine building into a buzzing creative home - and was covered by the BBC. We are proud to return this jewel of British architecture to the community.

Lula’s Patties is a Caribbean-British food brand celebrated for its handcrafted patties and vibrant sharing platters inspired by island flavours. Rooted in heritage and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, our menu offers bold, feel-good combinations with a modern twist.

For this event, guests will enjoy a colourful summer platter showcasing a seasonal mix of fresh fruits, vegetables, soft cheeses, house-made dips, and our signature “island nibbles.” Lula’s bite-sized patties — a fan favourite — will round out the spread, featuring plant-based, flavour-packed fillings that highlight our distinctive Caribbean flair.

Your ticket will include a wide array of Caribbean style food served by Lula's Patties, a glass of English sparkling wine, and an array of both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages of your choice. You will also have access to all of SCRUM Studios and be allowed to go on an exclusive site tour with SCRUM's own storytellers who will highlight current exhibitions and the history behind some of the performing art's unsung heroes. We will also be announcing the launch of the West London Business Awards 2026 and a special report published by West London Business in conjunction with Beauhurst. This is an opportunity to network and meet with other WLB members, local authority representatives, and the staff at WLB themselves to discuss new opportunities across West London - you won't want to miss it!

Getting There:

There is paid parking within Westfield. We would recommend that guests travel to the venue via public transport.

The nearest tube station is Hammersmith served by the Hammersmith & City, Circle, Piccadilly and District lines and the most convenient bus station is Hammersmith Bus Station.
